The latest features and improvements to AI Story Video.
Smarter Prompt Triage Before Generation
Before generation starts, AI Story Video now reads what kind of input you provided and only asks follow-up questions when clarification is needed.
Complete stories and finished scripts start immediately without extra steps
Unfinished story excerpts can be completed before video creation
Short ideas or visual prompts can turn into selectable story directions
Generated story directions and scripts now follow the language of your input
Animated Word-by-Word Captions
Captions now animate with the voice, making each spoken word feel smoother, more energetic, and easier to follow.
Active words now smoothly scale, lift, and return instead of switching color instantly
Leading and trailing punctuation is cleaned from captions for a cleaner look
Words Per Screen lets you choose between 1 and 10 words per caption group
New Beasty caption style adds bold comic lettering and high-impact highlights
Exports now wait for caption fonts to load before rendering, improving font reliability
Cinematic Scene Motion and Transitions
Scene transitions and camera motion have been rebuilt into a more cinematic visual language, with preview timing aligned to the final export.
Preview, timeline, and final export timing now stay aligned with each scene's voiceover
Each scene now has its own entrance, motion, and exit design
Motion supports stronger zoom, rotation, brightness, contrast, and blur effects
Scenes feel faster and more varied, with cleaner motion that avoids black edges
Motion style can be changed per scene from the editor's Motion panel
AI-Generated Background Music
You can now generate background music that matches your story, while the music library has a cleaner structure for browsing and recommendation.
Choose no music, generate music from the story, or import from the library during project creation
AI-generated BGM creates a vocal-free, loop-ready atmosphere based on the current story
Generated tracks are saved to the music library and can be managed from the project editor
Music metadata is now organized by category, mood, theme, and tempo for cleaner browsing
Safe Zone Preview in the Editor
The editor can now show a Safe Zone overlay so you can check whether key visuals or captions may be covered on YouTube Shorts or TikTok.
Turn on Safe Zone from the top-right corner of the video preview
Switch between YouTube and TikTok layouts to compare platform UI coverage
The overlay is only a visual guide and is never included in exported videos
Available for vertical (9:16) projects on both desktop and mobile editors
Timeline Added to the Editor
The editor preview now includes a timeline, making it easier to understand timing across video, voice, and background music.
Desktop editor shows Video, Voice, and BGM tracks under the preview
Mobile editor now uses a simplified playback bar with play, pause, seeking, and time display
Clicking a scene jumps the preview and timeline to that scene's start
Clicking the timeline or crossing scene boundaries keeps the Scene List highlighted in sync
Stronger Story Hooks and Smarter Scene Lists
Story and scene generation now puts stronger hooks up front, builds with clearer narrative structure, and makes each scene's purpose easier to understand.
Stories now open with a sharper hook instead of slow background setup
Scripts automatically follow the story structure that best fits your idea
Scene List now highlights each scene's narrative role with visual function badges
Prompt-to-video input now supports up to 2000 characters for richer story ideas
Landscape Mode (16:9) Now Available
You can now create videos in landscape (16:9) format — perfect for YouTube long-form content and web embeds.
Choose between Portrait (9:16) or Landscape (16:9) when creating a project
All scene images and video clips automatically adapt to your chosen aspect ratio
Editor preview and final export fully support the new landscape layout
Subtitles are repositioned for landscape to avoid blocking key visuals
Character Customization in Project Setup
Characters are now visible and customizable before you submit your project — no more waiting to see who's in your story.
Browse all story characters as visual cards during project setup
Preview each character's name, age, gender, and description at a glance
Optionally generate a character portrait instantly (3 credits) or let it generate with the project
Pre-generated portraits are reused automatically — no duplicate charges
My Characters page now displays portraits in 9:16 to match video output
